From work stress and family responsibilities to those niggling everyday pressures, we’re all juggling a lot. But while you might think powering through it all in silence is the "tough guy" way, that approach often leads to burnout, frustration and feeling completely disconnected from what really makes you happy. In fact, research shows 40% of men are less likely to talk about their mental health issues compared to women – and that's not good for you or the people you interact with every day.


As a physiotherapist for more than 20 years, I’ve seen the connection between stress and physical pain in so many of my male clients. They would come to me with tension and tightness in their bodies, but what they really wanted to talk about was how angry, agitated and worn out they felt. It was clear a lot of them didn’t know how to process these emotions and they didn’t know who to turn to without feeling judged

Men-ditation: A Stress-Free Stress Relief

You’ve probably heard that meditation is great for managing stress, but if the idea of sitting still and “clearing your mind” sounds impossible we get it! That’s why our online and in-person Men-ditation sessions, hosted by coach Dave James, help you refocus and take a breather from life’s pressures with techniques to help you in the real world. And we knew we had it right when one of the guys said, “I never used to believe in this sh*t but then I realised this sh*t actually works!”. So even if you’re not sure what you’re doing at first, you’ll be amazed how just a little meditation can lower stress levels and help you feel more in control.


Men’s Yoga for Beginners: Flexibility Without the Fancy Poses

If the word “yoga” brings to mind images of impossible poses and chanting, fear not. Our Men’s Yoga classes focus on relaxation and strength. You don’t need to be flexible or know a single pose – this is for anyone who wants to feel better in their body. Plus, if improving your golf swing or recovering faster after your workouts is on your agenda, these sessions can make a surprising difference.


Special Men's Events: Making "You" A Priority

Wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, so we mix up what we offer with special events like our International Men’s Day talk on “How to be a Happy (Hu)Man”. In collaboration with Bayley’s of Bromsgrove, this free to attend event on November 19 offers space to connect with others, learn practical tips for living a more fulfilling life and share some laughs while getting real about what happiness actually means.
