Meet The Team Behind Zenergy Wellness Studio in Bromsgrove

Zenergy began long before we opened the doors to our Bromsgrove studio. The idea grew from founder Sara’s own experience of making some fairly big changes in her life - stepping away from a 14-year corporate career, moving out of London, raising a young family and beginning to think differently about what it really means to feel well.
During lockdown, Sara found herself craving connection and looking for ways to bring a little more positivity and purpose into uncertain days. She began running free online Miracle Morning sessions, followed by the Sunday Zen Den - bringing people together for mindfulness, movement, self-care and conversation.
What started online soon revealed something much bigger. People didn’t just want to exercise - they wanted to connect, learn, laugh, look after themselves and feel part of something. And so in January 2022, Zenergy was officially born.
Initially, the plan was to create an online corporate wellness business alongside her husband Gary, from Physio 206. Sara began yoga teacher training, developed her ideas and continued exploring what Zenergy might become. But after so much time spent behind screens, something was missing. Real people. In a real room. Together.
Having moved to Bromsgrove in 2017, Sara also wanted to feel more connected to the community around her. So when the opportunity arose for Sara and Gary to take over a beautiful local studio, everything suddenly made sense.
Four years later, Zenergy Wellness has grown into far more than a place to practise yoga or Pilates. Today, they brings together classes, treatments, workshops, retreats and wellness events, supported by a brilliant team of teachers, therapists and practitioners.
"Zenergy has become a community - one we’re incredibly proud to be part of. And we’re still following the breadcrumbs."

Discovering My "Why": Zenergy Founder Sara Jones
I talk about finding your ‘why’ a lot, probably because it took me quite a while to find mine. When I left my 14-year career at M&S, where I’d been a Divisional Head of Visual Merchandising, I knew I wanted something different from the next part of my life - I just didn’t know what that looked like.
I’d had two boys, was approaching 40 and had started paying much more attention to the things that genuinely helped me feel good - physically, mentally and emotionally. My priorities had changed. My values had changed. And although I’d loved much of my corporate career, the life I’d built no longer felt quite like the life I wanted.
There wasn’t one great lightbulb moment when Zenergy suddenly appeared fully formed. Far from it. I tried things. I changed direction. I trained as a yoga teacher almost on a whim. I explored corporate wellness. I ran online sessions. I worked with different people, learnt a huge amount and gradually became better at listening to that little voice that tells you when something feels right - and when it doesn’t.
My business coach Jannine always told me to “follow the breadcrumbs.” So I did.
I realised that my purpose wasn’t to become the person with all the answers. It was to create somewhere people could find the things that might help them.
More recently, while exploring the idea of Dharma - our purpose or path - I kept coming back to the image of a lighthouse. A lighthouse doesn’t jump into the water and drag everybody to shore. It simply shines a light, helping people see where they are and find their own way forward. And that’s exactly what I want Zenergy to do.
I want it to be somewhere you can slow down without taking yourself too seriously. Where you can move your body, learn something, have a laugh, meet people, try a new practice or discover a brilliant therapist you didn’t even know you needed.
I want people to feel safe, supported and never judged. To feel happier, healthier and more connected - to other people, certainly, but also to themselves.
We now have an incredible team of teachers, therapists and practitioners, all bringing different skills, knowledge and experience to Zenergy. One of the parts of my job I love most is being the signpost - connecting someone with the right person, class, treatment or experience for where they are right now.
I still don’t have all the answers. Thankfully, I’ve realised I was never supposed to. You just need somewhere to start - and perhaps a little light pointing you in the right direction.
Sara x
